Warning: A quick warning there is sim nudity and mild swearing but all of it is censored in some way.
Just thought I would warn you just encase it's not censored enough.
Hello everyone and welcome to The Sparrow Legacy! Now for the sake of both old readers and newcomers let me explain what’s going on here.
2 years ago I started this Legacy after many failed attempts at trying. The pictures weren’t the best and my spelling and grammar was horrible, so I decided to rewrite everything from the beginning for the sake hopefully catching people’s attention better.
This is something I’ve been calling a Letter Legacy. Simply put it’s a normal Legacy with a very small twist. You take a word, it can be any word but it has to be 5 letters minimum. That word you picked is now your Sims surname and your job is to spell out that word using your Sims future generations.
In other words each baby born from each generation is named after a letter from the word you picked.
Your founders name doesn’t count in the spelling; the spelling only starts when your founder’s first baby is born. To top it off you have to pick one genetic feature your founder has and making that feature last to the end of the challenge.
The challenge is officially finished when the finale spelling baby is born and they have the chosen genetic feature.
Simple enough right?
Any questions just message me either on this site or on Boolprop, I’ll be happy to help you understand better!
With that out of the way let’s go down nostalgic lane and visit the past! This is the Sparrow Legacy and hope you enjoy.
Welcome to Jaggers Way! This was the first Neighbourhood I built not long after the death of my former legacy.
It’s filled with Sim bins, my own created Supernatural Townies and a lot of Sims from The Struggle to Survive, my legacy I did before this one.
Seeing as, at this point, I was using the game on a laptop please excuse some of the rubbish graphics that appear from here on out. I promise they do get so much better later on.
With that out of the way let’s meet our founder.
Sally Sparrow - 8/0/5/6/6
LTW: To Become an Education Minister
Turn Ons: Vampires/Hard Worker
Turn Off: High Logic Skill
While I don’t have a lot of talent in building houses in this game I do enjoy trying new things with them.So this is the lovely little thing I built for our Sally, all though it left her completely broke afterwards.
Sally: “That’s alright. I’ll just have to get a job a lot sooner than I planned that’s all.”
Keep up the positive attitude Sally and I think you’ll do just fine.
Snow started falling as we waited for the Paper Girl to show up. Of course in those shorts it’s understandable why she was so late.
Lara Ryan: “I froze outside the house by the beach. The lady there had to come and defrost me.”
Shouldn’t you have a uniform for the winter?
Lara: “It’s not worth it, or at least that’s what my manager says.”
Sally is willing enough to come outside and talk to Lara for a bit, even if it meant putting on her outdoor clothes.
Education wasn’t available yet so Sally took a job in the culinary track instead. At least you’ll get some cooking skills out of it Sally.
Sally: “Plus I’ll get more interest in my hobby.”
That is also true.
Sally: “Maybe living in a positive light isn’t so bad huh?
I guess not.
Veronica Patch was our next person to catch Sally’s attention. Being who she is I was worried that she and Sally wouldn’t get along but it seems like I worried for nothing.
The welcome wagon soon arrived but no potential spouses were there. They were all playable Sims, including the founder of my previous legacy Jesse Junior.
That doesn’t mean that Sally didn’t greet them though. The one thing you need to keep up when playing this challenge is friends, otherwise your Sim just won’t go anywhere.
Tara Kat was the one who Sally got on with the most, so I think her and Sally will be friends in no time at all.
Tara: “Sally Sparrow? What a wonderful name! I’m Tara, I love your hair.”
Sally: “R-really? Thank you!”
What happens when you put two mean Sims together in the same room? Well what do you think happens?
Jesse: “Ha! Sorry I thought I saw some oil on your dress but then I realised it was meant to look like that.”
Veronica: *Releases offended noise* “How dare you?! Do you have any idea who I am?”
So who saw this coming? Obviously not Sally.
Sally: “Oh Plumbob! No! Don’t start fighting please!”
The fighting gave Sally enough confidence to kick everyone out as the sun starting going down. I’m glad too because knowing her she would have stayed up all night entertaining them.
The next day Sally decided to try her hand at using the Matchmaker for love. Now I’ve never had good experiences with this but let’s see if it’s any different with Sally here.
Sally: “I’m looking for either someone who works hard or a vampire.”
Gypsy: *Looks sceptical* “You know; when people use my services they’re usually too desperate to be picky about who they want.”
Sally: “You say that like there are other ways to get a date other than you.”
Gypsy: *Cough* “Uh…Yes! Yes I see the perfect person for you dear! He’s not a vampire but he is a hard worker, just the one you are looking for.”
Meet Kacper Greeves.
It’s only recently I found out that you say his name like Casper, not Kakper.
As you can probably tell he has the same base face as Sally did before I made a few changes to her, so there is no chance of their kids not having the ears.
Is that cheating? It feels like it's cheating. Oh well!
Oh and game? I see what did here, 'he's an NPC Cop so he must be a hard worker!' Haha very funny. This is exactly why I don't trust the in game chemistry system!
The date turned out to be a Dream Date but Sally stayed true to her personality and ended the date with a small kiss.
Kacper: “I…I would love to go on another date with you Sally, if you want to of course.”
Sally: “That would be lovely.”
The next day it was Sally’s first day at work. All though I haven’t got much in the place if that is what they pick their employees up in.
Sally: “At least I don’t have to walk there.”
I would rather walk.
Sally’s first day at work though ended up going really well. Well enough that she brought home a promotion.
Sally: “Actually the original guy running the drive through was caught stealing money. I was standing right next to him when it happened so I got his job.”
Because you did such a good job right?
Sally: “I think it was more of the fact that I didn’t talk back to him.”
Well it's better than nothing.
It really started to feel like cheating to have Sally go with someone with a near identical face to her own at this point, so I had her use the Crystal Ball to see if we could have a better match.
Baxter Wilson was the result and as soon as he appeared on Sally’s lot he turned around and slapped her.
Sally: “What was that for?!”
Baxter: “You think I’m stupid?! I’m not interesting in being the person on the side!”
It wasn’t until the morning did I find the roses and had an idea what happened. The game put Baxter through the ‘Discover Cheating’ action because Kacper came onto the lot.
Normally Kacper would have been the one slapping Sally but Baxter ended up receiving the command instead.
Weird glitch but I was playing on a laptop at the time, I was lucky to get the game going.
So I decided to let Sally go with Kacper. I’ll just have to make sure that her Heir doesn’t do the same thing and we’ll be good.
Sally: “Kacper! I missed you so much!”
Sorry for the crapping lighting in this picture. I hadn’t quite got the light mod I have working to how I wanted to yet, as such it meant bad pictures when it was night time.
It starts looking better around generation 3, I promise.
The two ended up spending most of the night together. Kacper left before she woke up though so they couldn’t spend breakfast together.
Guess he had to get back to work.
Sally is off from work today so she spent the morning by working on her creativity skills, we need them to do her portrait later on.
Sally decided to spend the evening with Kacper once again but this time she planned something a little different.
During a lovely meal she proposed to him.
They couldn’t afford a proper wedding but that is the life of a Legacy Founder. The two of them were happy enough though to have it being just them.
Sally: “I do.”
Kacper: “I do.”
I have written this slide and every slide after this one 3 times now. I’m so close to tearing my hair out.
Kacper Sparrow – 3/0/6/6/7
LTW: Become a Space Pirate
Turn On: Fatness/Full Face Make-Up
Turn Off: High Mechanical Skill
I found it hilarious that he rolled Family as his second aspiration. Plus Sally touches both of his turn ons, no wonder they have three bolts for each other.
Nothing happened for a couple of days in the game, so I spent the time getting to know Kacper.
He’s actually a really sweet guy, especially when it comes to Sally.
Kacper: “I tried to found a flower that compared to her beauty. I was unsuccessful.”
Isn’t that sweet? It’s enough to give you cavities.
Education still hasn’t appeared in the paper yet, so Sally was suck working in the culinary career. You can wait though right Sally?
Sally: “No! I can’t stand this job! It’s fully of whiny teenagers and argumentative mums, grease gets everyone and I always stink of it and don’t get me started on my manager!”
I guess even Sally has a limit to how she can take.
Adventure also hasn’t appeared in the paper but Kacper instead decided to take care of the house instead of getting a job.
All though it would make more sense to get a job so we can earn the money to hire a maid and a repairman.
Kacper: “Sally doesn’t want to waste money on house help yet. She wants to extend the house first.”
I guess I can understand that.
Despite not liking her job, Sally does work her hardest there.
Sally: “It’s not that hard to do. Don’t spit in the food, don’t talk back to the customers and actually do your job. The manager said I was one of the best workers he’s had for a while.”
Bet he’ll be sad to see you go then.
Sally: “I’m still leaving as soon as I can.”
Sally: “Yes dear?”
Kacper: “Does the house seem more....liveable to you?”
Sally: “No. Why?”
That’s because I added another room for you two. Maybe you should tell your husband why I had to do that.
Sally: “How’s your cereal, Kacper?”
Kacper: “It kind of tastes like cardboard to be honest with you. Do we have anything else?”
With the money you two have left? I doubt it.
Bet you’re regretting not using protection now, aren't you?
Sally: “Shut up! Ugh. That cereal just isn’t sitting right. At this rate I won’t be able to eat anything and I’ll starve before I have this kid.”
What happened to looking on the bright side of life?
Sally: “She got pregnant!”
It turned out Kacper had a lot more Creative skill points than Sally did, so the task of painting the founder portraits fell to him.
Sally: “Don’t make me look ugly, Cas.”
Kacper: “Impossible. Even if I painted you green you’ll still be beautiful to me.”
I love watching shy Sims dance. It can be a bit annoying though because they always dance like this, no matter their dance skill level.
Trying to get shy teenagers earn the dance scholarship is a nightmare.
It only took another two days but a slot in the Adventure career track has finally opened for Kacper here.
Kacper: “Now I don’t have to rely on Sally to bring in all the money. Plus there’s also an opening in Education in here, this is going to make her day.”
Having jobs mean that friends are needed, so Kacper got to work on making friends with the small amount of people in his relationship panel.
Sally on the other hand stuck to the random wallaby's she managed to say hello to. Her most recent friend is a Downtownie called Beverly Byall.
Despite the fact she was pregnant Sally still obsessively cleans the house. Kacper might be good at fixing things but being a slob makes cleaning an impossible task for him.
Sally: “How can someone make such mess when putting a sandwich together?”
That’s you first pop Sally! You know what means right?
Sally: “No! I can’t rest! Can you imagine how messy it would get without me cleaning it?”
I’m pretty sure Kacper would clean if you nag at him enough. Now put down that sponge and go sit down!
Having tinkering as his OTH really helps Kacper as he works around the house. They can’t afford a repairman yet and with his lack of neat points Kacper’s breaking everything he touches.
But now he has his job Kacper isn’t stuck at home! It’s a good thing too because now we’re getting two paychecks coming into the house.
Kacper: “Something much needed with the little one on the way.”
Have a nice day at work Kacper!
I have to admit though I’m looking forward to seeing the new baby just as much as these two are. Wonder what it’s going to be?
Sally: “I don’t mind, as long as it’s healthy.”
Kacper: “Same here.”
“Sal, I think you’ve got something on your face.”
That brings chapter one to a close! I hope you guys enjoyed this rewrite, seeing as it took me three tries to get it done, and are looking forward to seeing the rest of the chapters.
As you’re probably aware until I finished rewriting everything, there won’t be a new chapter. So please be patient with me.
Anyway I hope you enjoyed this first stop down memory lane and I’ll see you in the next one.
Next: Chapter: 1.02
