Happy 12^th Birthday Boolprop!

Wow, it’s been so long! I’m sorry everyone. I know you haven’t seen anything new since January but rewriting the early chapters of the Sparrow Legacy is taking longer than I expected it to.

Anyway, welcome to the Baby Boom Challenge! It’s pretty simple really, my Sims have to have 24 babies; 12 girls and 12 boys. Only one of the Sims can work while the other must earn money at home. Finally, all births must be natural with no helpers to force multiples.

Meet Alice and Oliver Bean! Two newlywed Sims who want nothing more than to have lots of babies!

Oliver is a Family/Popularity Sim with Nature as his OTH, while Alice is a Family/Knowledge Sim with Art as her OTH.

Oliver will be the one staying home with the kids and trying to make money with his plants, while Alice goes to work.

Bit of backstory on these two, back when the game was first released I tried my hand at CAS and created these two.

That’s right, these two were my first ever created Sims and I remember having such a fun playing with them. Especially as I found out that your Sims could have twins through these two.

They’ve stuck in my memory since then and I try and make them every chance I get, so when this challenge came up I knew these two were perfect for it.

As pure the rules, I moved them into the biggest empty lot and then did what I could with what money was left.

As you can see I managed to put together an outhouse and a small hut for babies. Oliver and Alice though will have to sleep in a tent.

At least till we get enough to make a room for them too anyway.

So while Alice tries to make friends with the paper girl…

…Oliver gets started on his garden. We need beautiful tomatoes, Oliver, otherwise, we’re won’t get our money back.

Oliver: “No pressure then huh?”

I’m not selling the computer this time, as it felt like cheating to get such a huge hand out of money so early on.

So instead it’ll be put to good use.

Our money situation isn’t that bad at the moment (Despite living on the lawn) but I know trouble will start when the bills start coming in.

So time to get painting Alice.

Alice: “I thought I was the one going to work!”

You are, but we’re not going to get money just from that.

Of course, the Welcome Wagon soon showed up and Alice was happy to take the needed break.

These two are from my upcoming ISBI challenge, Leonardo is the spouse of my generation two torchholder and Molly there is a spare.

Simself!Ellie also dropped by, going completely against the fact she has zero outgoing points.

Ellie: “I was curious!”

My Simself continues to prove that she is nothing like me by willingly starting a conversation with Alice here.

Ellie: “I love the flowers in your hair.”

You have no outgoing points, Ellie! You should not be talking to someone without them starting the conversation.

We’ve got to get this challenge started though, despite the fact they are still living on the lawn.

 

Lullabies on the first try.

Oliver: “It’s snowing.”

Alice: “So it is.”

Would you two please put on some winter clothes before you freeze?

Despite the weather slowly dropping Oliver is working really hard on his garden. He even got invited to join the Nature Hobby lot.

My Simself turned out to be the constant caller of this town, to my complete embarrassment.

Alice: “Well we finally found our winter jackets so we’re not freezing now. Plus I finally got that job I wanted in the culinary track.”

First day of work! Bring back some money Alice, you desperately need it!

Oh never mind then. Guess we didn’t need that money after all.

Back at home Oliver is out making some friends with the wallbyes.

Malachi Elleman: “You know there’s not glass in your glasses right?”

Oliver: “I look good in them but I don’t want to ruin my eyes.”

Malachi Elleman: “Guess that makes sense.”

By the time the sun had gone down though, Oliver has had enough of the group he’s gathered.

Oliver: “All of you stink, go home!”

Alien Slob: “Well that’s just rude.”

Oh crap. I forgot I had that mod in this download folder.

Should probably take that out seeing as this is a challenge to have babies but I guess it makes it more of a challenge with it in.

First bump! Now go to bed Alice, your needs aren’t looking so good.

Oh yeah the group that Oliver tried to kick out? They didn’t get the message. By this point Oliver has just accepted that he’s never getting rid of them.

Malachi Elleman: “Don’t drop it!”

Oliver: “I know how to play kicky bag!”

Next day another familiar face walks by. This is Summer Evans, my second generation torchholder.

Oliver: “I’m Oliver Bean, my wife Alice is sleeping at the moment.”

Summer: “Another challenge runner huh? I’m Summer, you’ve already met both my husband and my sister yesterday.”

Summer: “I have three kids. My eldest is called Poppy and then I’ve got twin sons called Alfie and Toby.”

Oliver: “I hope it's not twins. I don’t think we can afford two babies right off the bat.”

Summer: “It could be more.”

Oliver: “I’m trying to not think of that, to be honest with you.”

One thing I’ve noticed about Alice is that she’s kind of jealous. If I make her in TS4 than that definitely will be one of her traits.

Alice: “What do you want with my husband?”

Summer: “Nothing, seeing as I’m married myself.”

Alice: “Like I’m going to believe that.”

She even rejected Summer’s admire action after catching her talking to Oliver.

See? This lady here hasn’t been talking to Oliver and Alice is happy to accept her admire actions.

Red Head: “You’re pregnant? You can’t even tell, you look amazing!”

Alice: “R-really? That’s so kind of you to say!”

Gag me.

Alice: “Bye bye, fireflies.”

I can’t get over how cute Alice is. When I first created her she was a face 1, this was at a time when face 1 was considered beautiful.

Now I know to mix and blend things when it comes to Sims and Alice here is a perfect example of that.

Second bump!

Oliver: “You behaving in there, little one? Stop causing your mum so much trouble.”

Alice: “Oh Oliver. I love you.”

Oliver: “I love you too.”

These two are so cute, I swear to god.

It’s a good thing Oliver isn’t a Romance Sim otherwise Alice would have a right to be jealous.

I notice my Simself in there as well, as flattered as I’m sure she is Oliver she won’t be interested you in any way; I should know.

The next night and this challenge are finally flying off! Let’s do this Alice!

Alice: “NOOO! I’ve changed my mind!”

You can’t change your mind. It’s too late!

Husband of the year everybody. His wife is screaming in agony and he’s finishing his hot dog.

Oliver: “My food will go cold. The baby will not.”

Alice: “Oliver!”

-

-

This is the one time when I’m actually happy to see this.

-

-

I need to get rid of the genetic version of that skin. I’m going to change it so that this baby we’ll just be tanned so it doesn’t look so strange.

Anyway! Baby number one is a girl!

Alice: “Seeing as you’re done, you can now hold your daughter.”

Oliver: “Daughter? You had a little girl! What’s she called?”

Alice: “Hetty. Now be quiet I’m busy.”

Oliver: “What?”

Oliver: “I guess that’s what you meant. Twins daughters huh? That one looks just like you.”

Alice: “She does, doesn’t she? Let's call this one Tilly.”

Oliver: “Hetty and Tilly Bean. I love it.”

Two girls down, ten more to go.

There was a huge storm just before Alice went into labour so now all of Oliver’s plants are need of care.

So after putting the girls down in the hut, both Alice and Oliver tackled the garden.

Alice: “Mmm. My husbands so hot when he’s spraying bugs.”

To be honest you can’t even call this place a hut. There’s no floor or wallpaper but it’ll be enough to keep both the snow and the rain out.

Hetty: “So this is our life huh?”

Tilly: *Sigh*

At least now we’ll be bringing more money in with the plants when the tomatoes are done.

-

-

And we bring this part to a close with Alice giving little Tilly her first feeding.

Not a bad start huh? Let’s see if we can keep this up through this challenge. The next part will be longer, this is just to get me started.
